Outside my studio window in Western Southland NZ, I look across our farm yard, over paddocks, to the beginnings of Fiordland’s mountain ranges.

The view is ever changing.

Smoke over Ben Lomond 400x400mm Oil on canvas SOLD

While working on this in early spring, a wild fire broke out beyond Ben Lomond, near Queenstown. There was an eerie, smoky sky for a number of days.

That smoke found its way into my work.
